Spirituality and Addiction

Build yourself a dieter's Zen garden.
I reviewed "The Zen of Eating" by Ronna Kabatznick, Ph. D.
in relation to my dieting and America's.
Here is where we are in America, on
The Economics of Self Indulgence.
Money we spend on our addictions.
$4 billion on ice cream. $10 billion on chocolate.
$26 billion on vending machines.
$86 billion on fast food.
And on our trying to restrict ourselves we spend.
$3.5 billion on diet soft drinks, $8.8 billion on low-fat foods and fat free foods.
$11 billion on health foods.
With 2 out of 3 of us overweight or obese we spend 33 billion on weight-loss programs, products, books and tapes.
So what works: After all the noise it is exercise and food restriction which works, no magic pills.
Want to really lose wight and KEEP it off?
Then get a copy of "The Zen of Eating" and read and study it. Can't be beat.
What does weight loss have to do with spirituality?
Well your temple is falling down around you.
The body is the temple of the spirit.
